Working in a fast paced environment can be a daunting one especially if you’re in the IT industry. Dealing with a lot of people in different locations around the globe is challenging. But despite the fact that it is a tough job I can still find time in enjoying what I’m doing.
As a web host evangelist, I am assigned to manage all the accounts with regards to hosting. Those concerns, inquiries, requests, assistance and even complaints, are all addressed to me. With a minimum of 10 emails, 10 phone calls received and 10 clients chatting in provide support in a day (not counting the busy days) are just part of my daily routine. Whoa! Can you imagine that? Multi-tasking indeed but the force is with me so there is nothing to worry.
With this kind of work, there’s no time to be negative. Most especially in dealing with complaints. If you are negative and the client is already having a bad mood it will surely take time on finding the best solutions to the problems. Being optimistic is an effective strategy in dealing with clients.
What matters is, at the end of the day I helped my beloved clients in finding solutions to their problems and in a way I put a little smile on their face.
